Web Development Camp

July 19th - 22nd from 9AM - 3PM

Located at the DigiPen Institute of Technology

For 5th - 8th graders. During the RSC Web Development Summer Camp, students will learn the basics of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS as well as the principles behind front-end and back-end development. Students will also explore database technologies and apply the skills they learn to hands-on applications. Course curriculum will be supplemented with in-depth talks given by industry professionals.

For 5th - 8th graders. During the RSC Rocketry Summer Camp, students will learn about rocketry through detailed lessons on aerodynamics and introductory physics. Additionally, they will design, manufacture, and then launch their own model rockets. The course curriculum will also be supplemented with in-depth talks led by industry professionals.

Rocketry Camp

Robotics Camp

August 16th - 20th from 9AM - 4PM

For 5th - 8th graders. During the RSC Robotics Summer Camp, students will experience comprehensive training in aspects of robotics ranging from mechanical engineering to electrical engineering to programming. Students will engage in team-building projects throughout the week and the course will culminate in the building of an Arduino-based robot using a custom kit that RSC will provide. All materials are included in the price and will be provided and students will be able to bring their robots home.

FAQ

For the robotics camp, we'll be using basic hand tools, 3D printers, and Arduinos (and the software that comes with Arduinos). The rocketry camp will also be using basic hand tools as well as rocketry kits and model rockets. All materials are included in the price.
We will be taking lunch breaks from 12 PM to 12:30 PM every day, and the students will have to bring their own lunches. Students will be able to eat outside during these breaks.
We will have two 15 minute breaks: one before lunch (around 10:30 AM), and a second after lunch (around 1:30 PM).
The class sizes will depend on how many people register for the camps, but we hope to have around 10-20 students per camp. if there are more sign-ups, we might split the class into smaller groups, but again, that depends on how many people register.
We will have all students maintain at least 3 feet distance from each other and we will require that face masks be worn at all times for all students, except for when they are eating at lunch. We are following the guidelines set forth for K-12 schools by the Washington Department of Health.
